Limits of Capacity for the Exchange of Information in the Human Nervous System
An approximation to the maximum
capacity of exchange of information in the central nervous system of the
human body is carried out. The maximum possible quantity in bits per
second that the brain possibly exchanges with the rest of the body is
sought for. This value could be useful for the designing of bionic
systems, the analysis of the operation of the brain and consciousness,
as well as the designing of future communication systems
